Cochran – Orma T. Royal, age 96, died Sunday in Taylor Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Royal, born in Wayne County, Illinois, had lived in Cochran since 1965 and was the widow of Fred L. Royal. She received a Bachelors Degree from Southern Illinois University, a 45 year member of the DAR, an accomplished writer and a homemaker. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Survivors are her son, Lacy (Donna) Royal of Cochran; her grandchildren, Michelle (Kyle) Hardeman, Katie Royal and Tommy Royal of Cochran, Nikki (Spencer) Jones of Eastman; her sister, Bea Parker of Fairfield, IL.

The family is at 154 Coley Station Road and will greet friends from 7 until 9 PM Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
