Cochran – Wallace Cranford, age 71, died Friday at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Wallace was a life long resident of Cochran and the son of the late William A. and Lucile Pipkin Cranford. He was a long time employee of Lithonia Lighting and well respected by many of his co-workers and was a part time employee at Mid-State Shoppers Guide. He was very musically talented and taught himself to play the guitar, banjo, mandolin, piano and greatly enjoyed playing and singing. He was a member of Limestone Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife of 51 years, Sharon “Sis” Floyd Cranford of Cochran; daughter Tammy Cranford Bauer of Cochran; granddaughter, Bonnie Alicia Bauer; Man’s Best Friend, Sophie; brother, James A. (Paula) Cranford of Garland, TX; sisters, Betty (Carl) Groves of Ivey, Linda (Danny) Grantham and Cheryl Cranford of Cochran.
The family will greet friends one hour before the service Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
