Obituary

Cochran – Aaron Earl "Squirrel" Mullis, age 81, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 4:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery with military honors.

Earl, born in Bleckley County, was the son of the late Aaron Alton "Son" and Bertha Powell Mullis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Winborn Sanders Mullis, his brother, Buddy Mullis and his sisters, Janice Hobbs, Nedra Floyd, Edna Criswell, Dot Love and Joan Hazelwood. He was a graduate of Dudley High School and a former contract worker at Robins Air Force Base. Earl was United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart. He was a member of Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church in Rebie

Survivors are his daughter, Misty (Robert) Glover of Milledgeville; his grandchildren, Ansley Glover and Hannah Glover both of Milledgeville; his step-children, Donald (Brenda) Sanders of Cochran and Buffy Sanders; step-grandchildren, Whitney (Justin) Sapp of Cochran; step-great grandchildren, Lane Sapp and Lyla Sapp of Cochran; his brother, James Mullis of Dublin; his sisters, Melba Purser, Oneida (Andy) Smith, Ouida (Tinsy) Roland, Debra (Ed) Holland, Shelia (Royce) Evans all of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 149 Conrad Sanders Road, Cochran and will greet friends from 3:00 P.M. until time for the service Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
