Cochran – Alfonso Lopez Cruz, age 60, died Saturday, July 31, 2021, in Taylor Regional Hospital in Hawkinsville following a battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 2, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Alfonso, born in Mexico, had lived in Cochran for the past 15 years. He was an employee at Dixie Landscaping and had worked at La Cabana Mexican Restaurant in Cochran. He was Catholic.

Survivors are his wife, Maria Lopez of Cochran; his daughters, Laura Melissa Lopez and Stephanie Lopez both of Cochran; his brothers, Daniel Lopez Cruz and Miguel Lopez Cruz both of Mexico; several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends after the committal service Monday at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
