Cochran- Amy English McCranie, age 42, passed away Saturday February 1, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A visitation will be held Friday February 7, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Limestone Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 P.M. Burial will be held in the church cemetery following the service.

Amy was a wonderful wife, devoted mother and beloved daughter. She leaves behind a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Amy was a compassionate and selfless soul, always nurturing those around her. As a faithful believer in Christ Jesus, we take comfort in knowing that those who accept Him will one day be reunited with her.

Born on January 19, 1983, in Dublin, Georgia, Amy spent a short time in Eastman before returning to her Cochran. She was the cherished daughter of Raymond and Bonnie English. With a strong work ethic and a heart for helping others, Amy dedicated over 15 years of service at GEICO before retiring. In retirement, she found immense joy in caring for and spoiling children, earning the affectionate title of "GiGi." Some of the little ones who held a special place in her heart were Ryder Foskey, Holton Grantham, and Joshua Lucas. Most of all, she adored her first grandchild, Gunner Smith, showering him with unconditional love.

Amy had a generous spirit and found happiness in making others feel special. She loved to spoil her fur baby's Sparky (dog) and Lucy (cat) and she couldn't go anywhere without Sparky by her side. She enjoyed shopping for thoughtful gifts, pampering herself with spa days, and getting her nails and toes done. A proud Georgia Bulldogs fan, she cheered passionately for her team, celebrating every victory with excitement and enthusiasm.

A devoted member of Limestone Baptist Church, Amy found great joy in serving others. She was actively involved in the youth ministry, accompanying students on mission trips and youth outings. She also loved to sing and was a dedicated member of the church choir, using her voice to worship and uplift others. Her faith was a guiding light in her life, and she touched many through her service and love for the Lord.

She is preceded in death by her loving mother, Bonnie English; her beloved son, Gavin McCranie; her dear nephew, Zachary Pasley; her cherished cousins, Samantha Ruth and Benjamin English; Father-in-law, Wesley McCranie; Mother-in-law, Merle McCranie; loving Godmother, Susan Yawn and her devoted uncle, Millard English (Frances).

Amy was a loving and devoted wife to Brad McCranie and a proud, nurturing mother to Eva Grace McCranie, whom she considered her best friend. She is also survived by her caring son, Johnathon Smith (Jocelyn); Her caring father, Raymond English; loving Godfather, Victor Yawn (Latrelle); her supportive sister, Jeannie Rae Pasley (John); her compassionate aunt, Brenda Dossett (Bobby); her loving aunt, Joyce Jorgenson (Ned); her loving aunt, Stella Dixon (Jerry) and her loving cousins, Dawn Norris (James), Ruthie Dossett and niece, Macy Lucas, who she loved as her own.

She leaves behind a large, close-knit family, including her uncles and aunts, Charles English (Elizabeth); Elizabeth Batchlor; Donnie English (Jane); and cousins Gary English (Edda), Delton English (Brenda), Dwight English (Judy), Rhonda Graham (Kenneth), and Wanda Jones (Mark), along with many special cousins, nieces and nephews. Several close knit friends that were always there for each other, no matter what, who she would do anything for, along with always being a shining light.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Amy's special caregiver, Christina Tomberlin, Haley Humphries, and Kayla Myers for their kindness, dedication and compassionate care they provided her. Their support and love during Amy's journey will never be forgotten. Amys kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will be forever cherished by those blessed to have known her. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love, generosity, and devotion lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.
