Cochran – Angelyn Lucas Merz, age 77, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021, in Bryant Health & Rehabilitation Center. Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Mathis Funeral Home.

Mrs. Merz was a lifelong resident of Cochran. She was the daughter of the late Gus and Ira Hardiman Lucas and was preceded in death by her siblings, Jimmy Lucas, Josh Lucas and Irma Greene. She was a Christian, who enjoyed attending church and singing solos. She loved and trusted in God.

Survivors include her children, Denise (Robert) Smith and Shawn (Brandy) Foskey, both of Cochran; grandchildren, Brooke Smith, Brittany (Justin) Davis, Mason (Macy) Foskey, Levi Foskey, Colton Foskey and Blaze Foskey; great-grandchildren, Emmie Davis, Riot Davis and Ryder Foskey; and sister, Gerri Fennell of Cochran.

The family will greet friends after the service, Thursday, at Mathis Funeral Home.
