Cochran – Barbara Ellen Dupree, age 80, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Pinewood Manor Nursing Home in Hawkinsville. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. The family will greet friends after the service Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Ellen, born in Mitchell, had lived in Hawkinsville before moving to Cochran 25 years ago. She was the daughter of the late William Wyman "Bill" and Eunice Inez Smith Broadnax. Ellen was a homemaker and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Earl Dupree of Cochran; her son, Eugene (Linda Jo) Dupree of Eastman; her sister, Pearl Shields of Guyton; her niece, Laura (Wesley) Miller of Prince George, VA.
