Cadwell – Belinda Wimberly, age 62, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, in Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 13, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Belinda was born on December 18, 1960, in Moss Point, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Thornton, her step-father, Doye Bone and her mother-in-law, Carolyn Wimberly. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1978 and received a nursing degree from Heart of Georgia Technical College. She worked for Dr. James Kirkland for 10 years and for Dr. Raghava Bkaskaran for 27 years.  She was an active member of Plainfield Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher for the 1 ^st -3 ^rd grade class. She loved fishing and serving others.

Survivors are her husband of 44 years, Chuck Wimberly, Sr.; her children, Chuck, Jr. (Tiffany) Wimberly and Kim(Bill) Crooms; her grandchildren, Ty (Courtney) Kight, Kayley (Joey) McGowan, Emma Crooms, Caleb Kight, Taylor Kight, Bryce Wimberly and Camden Wimberly; 1 great-grandchild; her mother, Joy Henry; her siblings, Charlie (Lisa) Thornton, Laurie (Chris) Sumner, Carrie (Wayne) Stagner, Lee (Miranda) Bone and Johnny (Gail) Thornton; her father-in-law, Johnny Wimberly and several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 110 Sunflower Lane, Chester and will greet friends Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Mathis Funeral Home.
