Cochran – Benjamin King Dennard, age 88, went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 22, 2021 in Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, January 25, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. at Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Dennard, born in Pineview, GA, had lived most of his life in Bleckley County in the Cary community. He was the son of the late Benjamin Melancton Dennard and Verna King Dennard and was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Ida Hill, Jean Williams, Ann Livingston and his brother, Charles Dennard. He was a US Army Veteran, retired from J.M Huber, attended elementary school in the Cary Community and was a graduate from Cochran High School. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church since 1944 and a member of the Men's Sunday School Class. Mr. Ben was known to everyone in the Cary community as an accomplished and expert mechanic, fabricator, electrician, welder, carpenter, and selfless volunteer that would help everyone with a need for any type assistance. In addition to spending time with his family he loved outdoor activities including fishing, gardening and raising cattle.

Survivors are his beloved wife, Ruth Spratling Dennard of Cochran; his children, Buddy Dennard, Verna (Wayne) Ramage, Benny (Vickie) Dennard, Stevie (Debra) Dennard all of Cochran; his sister, Gay (John) Kirkpatrick of Cochran; grandchildren, Matt (Kim) Ramage, Melissa (Justin) Churchwell, Kyle (Katelyn) Dennard, and great grandchildren, Taylor Ramage, Amye Kayte Ramage, Ruthie Ramage, Weston Churchwell; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice or Mount Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund, 134 Abney Road, Cochran, GA 31014.

The family will greet friends after the service Monday at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
