Bethlyn Norsworthy, age 61, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at her residence in Cochran, Georgia. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Born in Waycross, Georgia, Bethlyn spent most of her life in Bleckley County. She was the daughter of the late Robert Andrew Belflower of Cochran. She was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Norma Jean Belflower.

A proud graduate of Bleckley County High School, Class of 1982, Bethlyn built a diverse and dedicated career over the years. She worked with several organizations including GEICO, State Farm, Lithonia Lighting, Valence Surface Technologies, and most recently held a position at Dodge County Hospital.

Bethlyn is survived by her children: Chad (Kayla) Churchwell of Cochran, Cody (Savannah) Churchwell of Cochran, and Dylan (Ivey Grace) Churchwell of Hazlehurst. She leaves behind six grandchildren: Natalie, Nora, Nolan, Navy, Colbie, and Emrie. Her mother, Norma Ernestine Belflower of Cochran; her siblings, Bruce Belflower of Cochran; Brenda (Spencer) Hayes of Columbia, Alabama; and Beverly (Ritchie) Money of Cochran; as well as several nieces and nephews.
