Cochran - Mrs. Betty Dell Williamson Burton, age 85, quietly left this mortal existence and went to her heavenly home, Tuesday, May 29th, at the home of her daughter Mrs. Connie Swinson, in Cochran, GA. Betty was born April 10, 1933 in Dodge County, GA, to the late Isham Quincey Williamson and Nellie Mae Cobb. She attended and graduated from Dodge County High School in 1949. In 1950, she married Robert Cecil Burton, also of Dodge County. For 20 years, she and Cecil traveled up and down the east coast of the United States, stopping in various U. S. In 1970, Betty, Cecil and their seven children finally settled on the Burton family farm in Gresston, GA. She spent 15 years working for the State of Georgia, in Training Centers for mentally handicapped adults, in Dodge and Bleckley counties. Her husband Cecil preceded her in death in 1984. She was a member of the Cochran Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
