Cochran – Bobby G. (Tiny) Nelson, age 78, died Friday, November 27, 2020, at his residence following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 29, 2020, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bobby, born in Dooly County, had lived in Cochran 53 years. He was the son of the late James Athens and Maude Edwards Nelson. Bobby was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a founding member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cochran.

Survivors are his wife of 53 years, Jan Bishop Nelson of Cochran; his daughter, Leigh Ann (Barry) Taylor of Cochran; grandsons, Randy Sapp and Tyler Sapp both of Cochran; his brother, Carl (Mary Ann) Nelson of Unadilla; his sister, Annie Maude Nelson of Unadilla; several nieces and nephews.

The family request casual dress for the service.

The family is at 240 9th St., Cochran and will greet friends after the service Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
