Hawkinsville – Bruce F. Holmes, age 56, died Sunday, October, 11, 2020, at his residence after battling cancer. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 13, 2020, at 3:00 P.M. in Limestone Memorial Gardens.

Bruce, a lifelong resident of Hawkinsville, was the son of the late Ernest Felton, Sr. and Ruthie Mae Giddens Holmes. He was an employee at Cemex, had worked at Opelika Manufacturing and was a farmer. Bruce was a 1981 graduate of Hawkinsville High School, an avid gardener, a gunsmith and loved hunting.

Survivors are his son, Joshua Bruce "Josh" (Teresa) Holmes of Hawkinsville; his brother, Ernest F. Holmes, Jr. of Hawkinsville; his sisters, Patricia (Kenneth) Hunter and Susan (Gary) Giles of Hawkinsville; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 10 East Franklin Ave., Hawkinsville and will greet friends after the service Tuesday at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
