Cochran – Candy L. Phillips, age 60, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, at her residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, December 1, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in the Phillips Family Cemetery, 191 Royal Phillips Rd, Cochran, GA 31014.

Candy was born in Hawkinsville on July 16, 1963. She was the daughter of the late Maxine Wilson Phillips and was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Phillips. Candy was a 1981 graduate of Bleckley County High School. She attended Middle Georgia College and graduated from Georgia College with a degree in Criminal Law.  She retired after 30 years of service as a Lieutenant from the Dublin Police Department. Candy loved to travel and listen to music. She was an avid Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves and Atlanta Falcons fan. She also loved animals. She was a charter member of the "Gum Swamp Girls Club".

Survivors are her sons, Benjamin Royal Warren and Gareth Lee Welch both from Cochran; her father, Royal Lee Phillips of Cochran; her sister, Darlene Jones of Cochran; one granddaughter, one nephew, her 4 fur babies and many special friends.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Georgia Canine Rescue, 235 Mac Thompson Rd, Cochran, GA 31014.

The family will greet friends after the service Friday at the cemetery.
