Cochran – Carl J. Kuipers, Jr., age 84, died Wednesday, October 23, 2019, in Columbus Hospice in Columbus. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 26, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home with military honors and masonic funeral rites. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Kuipers, born in Hale, Missouri, had lived in Cochran since 1946. He was the son of the late Carl Jacob, Sr. and Edna Frances Evans Kuipers. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a US Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Cochran Masonic Lodge #217 F&AM, the York Rite and Scottish Rite. He was a member of the Cochran First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his brothers, Kenneth (Melissa) Kuipers of Macon and Gilbert Kuipers of Valley City, North Dakota; his sister, Anna (Bill) Montgomery of Columbus; niece, Allison Kuipers of Macon; nephew, John Hilton Kuipers of Macon.

The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Mathis Funeral Home.
