Cochran – Carol D. Powell, age 73, went to be with Jesus Friday, January 27, 2023, in Bryant Health and Rehab in Cochran. Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, January 30, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Bleckley County.

Carol, a lifelong resident of Bleckley County, was the daughter of the late George Albert and Louise Hosford Powell. Carol was loved by everyone she came in contact with. Visitors were greeted with a smile from ear to ear. Knowing Carol made family and friends better people because of her joy, smiles and contentment in her earthly body. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and was baptized in 1960.

Survivors are her brother, Rev. Ronnie (Barbara) Powell of Cochran; her niece, Tina (Dale) Sanders of Cochran; her nephew, Tim (Cindy) Powell of Cochran; great nieces and nephews, Hunter Tucker, Brody Sanders, Bronson Sanders, Elizabeth Powell and Henley Powell.

A special thank you to Bryant Health and Rehab for taking care of Carol for over 20 years, especially her nurse, Tiffany Cobb. The family would also like to thank Agape Care, Joyce Mickle, Lindsey Barber and Robbie Passmore.

The family will greet friends after the service Monday at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
