Carolyn Williams Stewart, age 89, passed peacefully from this earthly world on May 15, 2026. Her daughter was by her side.

Carolyn was born on May 2, 1937, to Erma and John Williams. She was the second of eight children. She enjoyed many colorful jobs, but she believed her most important job was as the mother of her dear LeAnne. They even shared a birthday which was so special. Truly, the things that mattered to her most were the Lord and her family. To both she exhibited unwavering and fierce love and devotion.

She is survived by her daughter LeAnne; her beloved grandchildren, Sadie and Emmett; her siblings, Linda (Jerry), Donna (Jerry), Esther (Mark)and David (Ann) and many nieces and nephews through multiple generations.

Her greatest desire would be for everyone to know the love of the Lord and that His will be done according to God's holy purpose.

The family will greet friends on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Mathis Funeral Home in Cochran, Georgia. The funeral will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Cochran, Georgia on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at 11:00 am with burial following at Zebulon Baptist Church in Eastman, Georgia.
