Cochran – C.B. "Junior" Churchwell, Jr., age 89, died Friday, June 4, 2021, surrounded by family at his residence. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 6,2021, at 3:00 P.M. in Ruth Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Churchwell was born and had lived most of his life in Bleckley County. He was the son of the late C.B., Sr. and Lillie Jewell Hill Churchwell and was preceded in death by his wife Orene Davis Churchwell. He was the co-owner of Churchwell Drywall and was a member of Ruth Baptist Church. Mr. Junior was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors are his children, Wanda (Kenny) Thompson, Kay (Tony) Horne, Roger (Pam) Churchwell and Ricky (Brenda) Churchwell of Cochran; his grandchildren, Hunter Thompson, Katie (Tom) Cannon, Chad (Kayla) Churchwell, Justin (Melissa) Churchwell, Cody Churchwell, Dylan Churchwell, Jaydan Churchwell, Luke Churchwell and Michael Horne; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Christine Tucker (Dennard Day), Betty (Lee) Arnold, Peggy Parten and Patricia (Charlie) Phillips all of Cochran; his brothers, Clifford (Doris) Churchwell, James R. "Doc" Churchwell and Donnie (Delores) Churchwell all of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.

Special thank you from the family to Mr. Junior's caregivers Stella Milton, Opal Wilmore, Logan Smith, Carol Hinson and special appreciation to Beverly Peterson and Angela Lawson with Amedisys Hospice.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Ruth Baptist Church, 216 Ruth Church Road, Cochran, GA 31014.

The family will greet friends an hour before the service, Sunday, at Ruth Baptist Church.
