Cochran – Cecil Reynolds, age 94, died Thursday, March 3, 2022, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 3:00 P.M. in Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will be in Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cecil was born in Chester on 5 May 1927 but was a lifelong resident of Cochran. He was the son of the late Roe and Martha Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Laverne Thompson, Mary "Baby" Bryant, and brothers, Talmadge "Brother" Reynolds and RJ Reynolds. He was an Army Veteran and awarded the World War II Victory Medal. Cecil was a farmer, plumber, electrician, mechanic, carpenter, tool and die specialist, pilot, welder, wine maker, knife maker, turkey call maker, fisherman, hunter and dearly loved raising his prized goats. One of his pleasures was joking and cutting up with friends and he never met a stranger. He was a dedicated Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldog fan.

Survivors are his wife of 74 years Laverne Giddens Reynolds of Cochran; his son Mike (Ann) Reynolds of Warner Robins and daughter Debbie (Gary) Arnold of Cochran; his grandchildren, Travis (Norma) Reynolds of Omaha, NE, Kyle (Jessica) Arnold of Buford, GA and Luke (Casi) Arnold of Cochran; his great grandchildren Brody Arnold, Henry Reynolds, Bo Arnold and Blain Arnold; his sister, Martha Reynolds Stroup of Cochran and several nieces and nephews.

Cecil always believed any job that was worth doing was worth doing correctly.

The family will be at 398 Allen Ranch Road and will greet friends from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M., Saturday, at Oak Grove Primitive Baptist Church.
