CHARLES KENNETH BATES

Cochran – Charles Kenneth "Kenny"  Bates, age 71, died Sunday, June 6, 2021, at his residence. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 12:00 noon in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Kenny had lived most of his life in Cochran and was the son of the late Arvin Bates and Mary Kate Dykes Bates Holland. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a 1968 graduate of Cochran High School. He loved fishing, hunting and working in his garden with his grandson, Asa, he loved so much, along with all his family. Kenny was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Jane "B.J." Bates; children, Stephen Wyatt, Shannon (Dell Darsey) Wyatt; grandchildren, Brooke Wyatt, Gracie Wyatt, Kasey Meeks, Asa Wyatt and Ava Wyatt; sister, Bonnie Parr; niece, Lisa Beasley, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family is at 245 Nobles Road and will greet friends after the service Tuesday at Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.
