Cochran – Charles W. Boyd, age 65, died Friday, December 20, 2019, at Bryant Nursing Center. Memorial services will be held Sunday, December 29, 2019, at 3:00 P.M. at Elsharath Baptist Church in Twiggs County.

Charles, born in North Carolina and raised in Okeechobee, FL, had lived most of his life in Dodge County and Cochran. He was the son of the late Clarence Boyd, Sr. and Hazel Tripp Boyd Hunnicutt and was preceded in death by his sisters, Bobbi Crosby and Diane Boyd. He was a 1971 graduate of Dodge County High School, a US Marine Veteran and had worked as an aircraft mechanic at Robins Air Force Base. Charles loved carpentry, hunting and gardening.

Survivors are his children, Jennifer (Drew) Purvis and Chris Boyd of Danville; grandchildren, Sara Boyd, Isabella Boyd and Elnora Boyd of Danville; brother, Clarence Boyd, Jr. of Darien; several nieces and nephews.
