Montrose – Charles M. "C.M." "Charlie" Belfower, age 83, passed away Monday, October, 18, 2021, after a long battle with lung cancer. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens in Cochran.

C.M. was born in Dodge County to the late Alvin C. Belflower and Maggie Strickland Belflower. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Belflower, Mathew Belflower, Robert Belflower, Johnny Belflower, James Belflower, Evelyn Belflower Yeomans, A.C. Belflower, Jr., Harley Belflower and Wymac Belflower.  Before retiring, C.M. was owner of Stevens Guns in Danville. He enjoyed attending gun shows, gun actions and reading Louis L'Amour novels.

Survivors are his wife, Emily White Belflower of Montrose; sisters-in-law, Beverly Belflower and Faye Belflower of Fort Valley and Earnestine Belflower of Empire; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and his fur babies, Opie and Snow.
