Leesburg, FL – Charles Robert "Bob" Maddox, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, in AdventHealth Care Center Waterman in Tavares, FL. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Maddox was born in Twiggs County on May 29, 1940. He was the son of the late Robert and Josephine Raleigh Maddox. After high school, He served in the United States Army and lived in Florida for most of his life. He was an architect and served as a youth pastor. He was a member of Eustis Assembly of God.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Maddox of Leesburg, Fl; his brothers, Joe (Brenda) Maddox of Macon and Richard "Dicky" (Pat) Maddox of Houston, TX; his aunt Caroline Walters of Warner Robins; his sister-in-law Bobbie (Walter) Davis of Cochran; several nieces and nephews and his dear friends Linda Douglas and Trudy Scharnhorst.

The family will greet friends an hour before the service, Monday at Mathis Funeral Home.
