Cochran – Charles Smith, age 84, died Sunday, April 26, 2020, in Serenity Place in Dublin after a long battle with cancer. Private graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at 4:00 P.M. in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Smith, a lifelong resident of Cochran, was the son of the late Sam and Fannie Ramage Smith. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Smith Odom, his son Tony Charles Smith, his grandson Brian J. Smith and his great granddaughter Kenna Marie Smith. He was a former contract painter at Georgia Power Plant Scherer. Mr. Charles loved fishing and hunting and was a member of Limestone Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Betty Jo Smith of Cochran; his children, Vicky (Don) Dykes, Ronnie (Wendy) Smith and Larry "Runt" (Lori) Smith of Cochran; his grandchildren, T.C. Smith of Warner Robins, Dustin (Hartley) Dykes, Jason (Carrie) Dykes, Brad (Danielle) Smith and Ashley Hutchinson of Cochran; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
