Eastman – Charles E. "Trey" Coody, III, age 45, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021, in the Dodge County Hospital in Eastman. Funeral services will be held Friday, May 7, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in Cool Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Twiggs County. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Trey, born in Macon, was raised in Cochran and lived in Dublin and Florida before moving to Eastman. He was the son of the late Charles E. "Pee Wee" Coody, Jr. and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Kathleen Collins Abney, Joe B. Collins and Charles and Geraldine Coody. Trey was a 1994 graduate of Bleckley County High School where he played baseball and golf and he attended Heart of Georgia Technical College. He was a carpenter, an avid Georgia Bulldog Football fan and loved hunting and fishing. He was a member of Emmanuel Missionary Baptist Church in Cochran.

Survivors are his daughter, Jerika Kathleen (Spencer) Oliver of Dudley; his grandchildren, Olivia Oliver and Grant Oliver of Dudley; his mother and step-father, Jolene Collins Giddens and John William Giddens of Danville; his grandmother, Barbara C. Guthrie of Virginia; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family is at 1999 GA Highway 112, Danville and will greet friends after the service Friday at Cool Springs Church.
