Eastman – Clayton J. Thornburg, age 44, died Thursday, September 9, 2021, in Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon. Memorial services will be held Sunday, September 12, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in Bay Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Eastman. Burial will be private in Bracewell Family Cemetery in Dublin.

Clayton born in Marietta had lived in Hawkinsville before moving to Eastman in 2016. He was the son of the late Charles Darrell, Sr. and Margie Adele Bennett Thornburg. He was in an employee of Bass Pro Shop in Macon. Clayton was a member of Bay Springs Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Brandi Fordham Thornburg of Eastman; his son Joshua Thornburg of McRae; his brother, Charles Darrell Thornburg, Jr. of Hawkinsville; several aunts and uncles.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital, 3651 Wheeler Rd, Augusta, GA 30909 or to the charity of your choice.

The family will greet friends after the service Sunday at Bay Springs Free Will Baptist Church.
