Jacksonville, FL - On the evening of June 23rd, 2022, Clifford Jackson Arnold of Cochran, Georgia died at the age of 82. He peacefully passed away of natural causes surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2022, with a visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home in Cochran. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Clifford was born to Calvin Lewis "Bud" Arnold and Emmie Jo Holland on June 17th, 1940, in Bleckley County, Georgia. After graduating from Bleckley County High School in 1958 he joined the Army. Upon returning home from the Army, he worked construction with his father and then became a police officer in 1965 for Bleckley County where he worked for 3 years. In 1983 Clifford, along with a good friend James Hosford, created the business Handyman Services. In 1990 Clifford ventured out and created his own business, North Florida Trim. He ran the business until 2008. Afterwards he began working at his son Heath's business, Arnold's Custom Woodwork until retirement in 2015. After retiring Clifford lived out the remainder of his life in Jacksonville, Florida.

During his lifetime Clifford was an avid hunter and fisherman. Activities which he enjoyed doing with his children. He was a longtime member of the Buckeye Hunting Club in Brunson, South Carolina. He also participated in the St. Augustine, Florida Bass Masters for 6 years. Clifford also earned his pilot license in 1977 and used it for travel and fishing trips.

Clifford is preceded in his death by his father and mother. He is survived by his siblings: Donald Arnold, Patti Allen, and Mitchell Arnold. His children: Michael Arnold; Heath Arnold and spouse Samantha Arnold; Kellie Ross and spouse Ben Ross, and CJ Arnold and spouse Savannah Arnold. Grandchildren: Michael Arnold Jr., Ashlee Arnold Bownas, and Peyton Evans. Also, numerous nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

The family is at 118 Skye Rd. Cochran, GA 31014 and will be accepting condolences after the service Friday.
