Cochran – Clifford H. Churchwell, age 87, died Thursday, June 17, 2021, in Serenity Place in Dublin. Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 20, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be private at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Cliff was born and had lived most of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late C.B. Sr. and Lillie Jewell Hill Churchwell and was preceded in death by his brother, C.B. "Junior" Churchwell, Jr. He was retired from Macon Shirt Company and was a member and former deacon at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mr. Cliff loved his family, vegetable gardening, yard work and the outdoors.
Survivors are his wife of 67 years, Doris Davis Churchwell of Cochran; his children, Karen (Waylen) Carter, Dennis (Teresa) Churchwell and Tammy (Bob) Johnson all of Cochran; his grandchildren, Brooke (Rick) Jarrell of Ackworth, Raynor (Katie) Churchwell and Taylor (Kristin) Johnson both of Cochran, Tanner Johnson of Atlanta; his great grandchildren, Addison Barnes of Ackworth, Jacob Broughman of Ackworth and Tate Johnson of Cochran; his sisters, Christine Tucker (Dennard Day), Betty (Lee) Arnold, Peggy Parten and Patricia (Charlie) Phillips all of Cochran; his brothers, James R. "Doc" Churchwell and Donnie (Delores) Churchwell both of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church, 101 Church St., Cochran, GA 31014.
The family is at 141 10 th St., Cochran and will greet friends after the service Sunday at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church.
