Daisy Ann
Ross
Sep 16, 1953 — Aug 1, 2026
Daisy Ann Ross, affectionately known as "Ann," passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, in Cochran, Georgia, at the age of 72. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Mathis Funeral Home located at 151 E Dykes Street in Cochran, Georgia. The family will greet visitors during this time. A graveside service will follow on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born on September 16, 1953, in Cochran, Georgia, to the late Susie Carroll, Ann grew up in her hometown and attended the public schools of Cochran. At an early age, she embraced her faith and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, beginning a lifelong walk of faith that guided her throughout her life.
Ann dedicated over 25 years of service to Bryant Nursing Home, where she worked with unwavering commitment and compassion until her retirement. Her care and kindness left a lasting impact on those she served and worked alongside. Known throughout the community simply as "Ann," she was a familiar and friendly presence who brought warmth to everyone she encountered.
One of Ann's favorite pastimes was sitting on her front porch, where she would wave to passersby and engage in lively conversations with friends, neighbors, and even strangers. Her love for connecting with others was matched only by her joyful spirit and zest for life. Whether sharing stories or dancing with enthusiasm—often jokingly referred to as "drop it like it’s hot"—Ann's vibrant personality made her a delight to be around. To know Ann was truly to love her.
The family of Mrs. Daisy “Ann” Ross extends their heartfelt gratitude for the kindness, support, and sympathy shown during this difficult time. Special thanks are given to Bryant Nursing Facility, Bleckley Memorial Hospital, and Fairview Park Hospital for their care and guidance.
The family will receive friends at 159 E Beech St, Cochran.
May Ann’s memory bring comfort to all who knew her and serve as a reminder of the joy she brought into the world.
