Cochran – Dale Haywood Mullis, Jr., age 42, died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dale, born in Dublin, was a lifelong resident of Cochran and the son of the late Linda Johnson Mullis Parks. Dale was Fire Prevention Lieutenant for the Warner Robins Fire Department and had worked for the Cochran Fire Department. He was a 1997 honor graduate from Bleckley County High School where he ran track and cross county. He received a cross country scholarship to Anderson College and later transferred to Georgia Southern University where he was a member of the cross country team. Dale received a degree in Exercise Science from Georgia Southern University and did his internship with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Cochran First United Methodist Church.

Survivors are his children, Anderson Mullis and Harrison Mullis; his parents, Dale, Sr, and Alice Mullis of Cochran; his brother, Jordan Mullis of Jesup; his sisters, Malinda (Greg) Senters and Allison Cranford both of Cochran and Regina (Bruce) Bennett of Macon; several aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The family is at 148 Whippoorwill Lane, Cochran and will greet friends after the service Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
