Cochran - Danny Ray Manning, age 66, died Monday, July 5, 2021, in Pinewood Manor in Hawkinsville. Funeral services will be Monday, July 12, 2021, at 11:30 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Danny Ray, born and raised in Cochran, was the son of the late Hazel Horton Manning and Theopolis Perry Manning. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Perry Manning, Jerry Manning and Ronald Manning, and his sister Patsy Burke. Danny Ray was a graduate of Cochran High School and had worked at the Cochran International Truck and Tractor Company and Everett Dykes Grassing. He left there to venture out on his own and became one of Middle Georgia's best diesel mechanics. He was a Missionary Baptist.

He is survived by his daughter, Amy Hinson; his son, Daniel Bozeman; three grandsons; his sisters, Margie Lucas of Cary and Peggy Smith of Spartanburg, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Mathis Funeral Home, Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M.
