Cochran – Darlene Phillips Jones, age 66, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2024, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Phillips Family Cemetery.

Darlene, a lifelong resident of Cochran, was the daughter of the late Maxine Wilson Phillips. She was preceded in death by her brother, Lee Phillips, her sister, Candy Lee Phillips and her fur baby Ruby. Darlene was a 1976 graduate of Cochran High School, was retired from Piggly Wiggly and loved bluegrass music.

Survivors are her son, Brian (Lindsey) Jones of Cochran; her father, Royal Lee Phillips of Cochran; her fiancé, Gilbert Davis of Cochran; niece, Wendy Phillips; nephews, Royal Warren, Gareth Welch and Phillip Phillips; children to be, Justin (Talyor) Davis and Aliesha Hayward both of Cairo; grandchildren to be, Jaime Davis, T.J. Tucker and Alyssa Tucker all of Cairo.

The family is at 403 Lucas Road, Cochran and will greet friends one hour before the service Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
