Roddy - Darvon Max Lister, age 86, died Friday, August 26, 2022, at OpusCare of Georgia in Macon. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Roddy Baptist Church with Reverend Justin Fountain and Reverend Todd Sessions officiating. Burial will be private in Roddy Community Cemetery.

Mr. Darvon lived his entire life on a family farm in Roddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, John James Lister and Gladys Fountain Lister, and his son, Jeff Lister. He was a skilled sewing machine mechanic and worked at the L&H Shirt Company from 1954 until it closed in 1987 and at Leshner Mills in Hawkinsville until his retirement. He was a member of Roddy Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Crosby Lister of Roddy; a son and his wife, Gary and Lynne Lister of Bonaire; a daughter and her husband, Tonya and Darrell Kemp of Eastman; five grandchildren, Wesley (Brittany) Lister of Bonaire, Leighton (Krista) Lister of Kathleen, Lacie Kemp of Eastman, Scarlett Kemp of Valdosta, and Justin Lister of Perry; five great-grandchildren, Jessilynn Hall, Tripp Hall, Jocie Hall, Molly Lister, and Ella Lister; several nieces and nephews

The family is at 2681 Roddy Highway and will greet friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, August 29, 2022 at Mathis Funeral Home.
