Cochran – David W. Smith, age 76, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. in Union Hill Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from 10:00 A. M. until time for the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

David, born in Hawkinsville, had lived all of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late H.A. “Buck” and Edith Belflower Smith. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base, served in the Army Reserves and was a 1968 graduate of Cochran High School. David was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Jessie Smith of Cochran; his children, Brandi (Chris) Jernander and Amanda (Jason) Finch all of Cochran; his grandchildren, Augusta, Sadie, Hailey (Evan), Lauren (Kaleb) and Christina; his great grandson, Weston; his sister, Wanda (Mike) Cowan of Warner Robins and Marsha (Mike) Bryant of Cochran; several nieces and nephews,
