Chester – Donna Gilbert, age 54, died Wednesday, May 1, 2019, in Coliseum Medical Center in Macon. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rowland Memorial Cemetery.

Donna, born in Dublin, had lived most of her life in Chester. She was the daughter of the late Bob Gilder and Patricia Fountain and was preceded in death by her brother, Tracy Gilder. She was retired from Lithonia Lighting. Donna loved her family and especially her grandchildren, Madison and Greyson.

Survivors are her husband, Jerry Gilbert of Chester; daughter, Brittany (Justin) Maddox of Chester; grandchildren, Madison and Greyson Maddox of Chester; sisters, Leigh Ann (Sonny) Spivey of East Dublin and Lynn Gilder of Dublin; brother, Robbie (Lynn) Gilder of Wrightsville; step-sister, Wynette Veal of Dublin; step-brothers, Dale Harrell of Dublin and Doyle Harrell of Tampa, FL; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Johnny and Pam Gilbert of Chester; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 222 Ebb Peacock Road and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday at Mathis Funeral Home.
