Cochran – Donna Thrower, age 62, died Sunday, February 17, 2019, in Bryant Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Donna, born in Jacksonville, FL, had lived most of her life in Macon before moving to Cochran in 2004. She was the daughter of the late James K., Jr. and Corinne Ashton Thrower. Donna was a graduate of Mercer University in Macon and was a retired elementary school teacher from Bibb County Schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cochran.

Survivors are her brother, Jon (Carla) Thrower of Cochran; her sister, Suki (Steve) Cannavo of Rockland, MA; nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Brian) Martin of MA, Stephen (Jamie) Cannavo, Jr. of MA, Ashley (Justin) Stewart of Dudley, Kristin (Jonathan) Sulinski of Warner Robins, Trent (Ashley) Alexander and Caroline Thrower of Cochran; several great nieces and nephews.

The family is at 146 E. Lakeshore Dr. and will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
