Warner Robins – Dorothy "Jean" Hutto, age 91, passed away of natural causes peacefully, on December 8, 2023, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 10, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will be in Rentz Cemetery, 1545 Baker Church Road, in Laurens County with Pastor Tim Lamb officiating.

Jean, born in Laurens County to the late Dr. Thomas Jefferson Taylor and Velma Silas Taylor, and was also preceded in death by her brother, Silas Taylor, her son, Keith Hutto, and her grandson, Joel Graham. She enjoyed being a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother respectively. Her posterity claims Jean was a godly woman and the world's greatest mother and family elder. Jean was valedictorian and basketball team captain of her high school class, attended Berry College, retired from Robins Air Force Base and had worked for Hardware Insurance Company in Atlanta and for the L&H Shirt Factory in Cochran prior to RAFB, and for Walmart and the Dodge and Bleckley County BOE as a school bus driver during her early retirement. Jean was a member of Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church and grateful to have lived such a long and prosperous life full of love and sacrifice.

Survivors are her daughters, Iris Brand of Warner Robins, Lorie Huff of Fort Valley, her daughter-in-law, Barbara Hutto (Keith) of Cochran, her grandchildren, Nathan Hutto of Eastman, Dustee Robinson (Randy) of Abilene, Joshua Brand (Madison) of Fort Valley, Sam Huff of Byron, Jeannie Reas (Adam) of Bonaire, Kasey Huff of Perry, and over a dozen great-grandchildren. The family is at 109 Oconee Street, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088, and will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Empire Pentecostal Holiness Church.
