Dorothy Long, age 77, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home.

Dorothy was born on July 27, 1947, in Hawkinsville.  She was the daughter of the late Alton and Irene Payne Byram and was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Byram. Dorothy loved the outdoors. She enjoyed working the yard and planting flowers with her husband, Kenny. She was a Christian.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny Long; her children, Tommy Long, Chad Long, and Kim Webb; her "adopted daughter", Vickie Bennett; her grandchildren, William, Ashley, Cierra, Harley, Victoria, T.J., Ryan, Shannon, Tiffany and Jamie; numerous great grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Bryan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family is at 136 E Beech St, Cochran and will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. on Friday at Mathis Funeral Home.
