Cochran – Dorothy S. McCain, age 92, died Saturday, August 20, 2022, in Bryant Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 22, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. McCain, born in Bleckley County, had lived most of her life in Macon before moving back to Cochran 7 years ago. She was the daughter of the late Ellis T. and Minnie Churchwell Smith and the wife of the late Jessie W. McCain. Mrs. Dorothy was a homemaker and member of Ocmulgee East Blvd. Baptist Church.

Survivors are her children, Calvin (Anne) McCain of Jones County, Danny (Kay) McCain of Jackson and Diane (Wade) Bennett of Roberta; seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; her sister Martha A. Bryant of Cochran; several nieces and nephews.
