Cochran – Dorothy Odom Long, age 71, died Friday, August 27, 2021, in Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 30, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Dorothy, born in Macon, had lived most of her life in Cochran. She was the daughter of the late William Ralph and Martha Ann Abney Odom and was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy Odom and Donald "Duck" Odom. She had worked at L&H Shirt Factory, was a waitress and an excellent cook. Dorothy attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors are her children, Lamar (Robin) Harrington, Stacey (Virginia) Alligood and Cissi (Micah) Paradis all of Cochran; her sister, Janice (James) Sapp of Cochran; her brothers, Pete (Terri) Odom, Buddy (Bobbie Jean) Odom and Ed Odom all of Cochran; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Sunday at Mathis Funeral Home.
