Cochran – Edith Violet NeSmith Butler Holloway, age 76, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in the Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Chris and Christy Butler residence, 304 Bowman Rd., Cochran, GA 31014.

Mrs. Violet, born in Dodge County, had lived most of her life in Cochran and Dodge County. She was the daughter of the late Nevin and Edith Rogers NeSmith and was preceded in death by her husband Leon Holloway, her sisters, Susan Yaughn and Phyllis Marshall, grandson, Joshua Butler and great granddaughter, Victoria Butler.  She was a homemaker.

Survivors are her sons, Chris (Christy) Butler of Cochran and Rick (Missy) Butler of Texas; her sister, Kathy (Arnold) Galyean; her brother, Larry NeSmith; her grandchildren, Matthew Butler, Andrew Butler, Mason Williams, Matthew Wayne Butler, Michelle Corona Butler and Brittney Butler; great grandchildren, Gabriela Corona, Anna Belle Corona, Shelby Butler, Jacob Barnett, Nyomi Butler, Jackson Barnett, Rylan Butler, Leighton Butler, Peyton Butler and Kelen; great-great grandchild Kynliegh Ashton; brothers-in-law, Tommy Brantley and Lee Yaughn; several nieces and nephews.
