Cochran – Edmund Jackson "J.D." Davidson, age 59, died Thursday, May 2, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services will be held Monday, May 6, 2019, at 6:30 P.M. in the Cochran First Baptist Church.

J.D. was born in Macon and had lived most of his life in Cochran. He was the son of the late Jackson Elbert and Faithey Agnes Fowler Davidson. He was a 1978 graduate of Bleckley County High School, a graduate of Middle Georgia College and Georgia College. J.D. was an employee of Robins Air Force Base and served in Afghanistan as a civilian financial advisor from 2015 to 2016. He was a member of the Cochran First Baptist Church, the church choir and hand bell choir.

Survivors are his wife, Lisa Sanders Davidson of Cochran; his children, Hannah C. Davidson of Valdosta and Tyler J. Davidson of Burlington, KY; his sisters, Bonnie (Stevie) Sapp of Cochran and Melissa (Tim) Woods of Fitzgerald; nieces and nephews including Jacob Sapp and Justin (Whitney) Sapp of Cochran; great nieces and nephews including Lane Sapp and Lyla Sapp of Cochran.

In lieu of flowers memorials may made to Gideons International, PO Box 95, Cochran, GA 31014.

The family is at 239 Herman Floyd Road and will greet friends after the service Monday at Cochran First Baptist Church.
