Cochran – Eleonore M. Horton, age 94, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024, in Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta. Funeral services will be held Monday, November 4, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be private in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Horton, born in Germany, had lived in South Carolina and Cochran. She was the wife of the late John Henry Horton, Jr. and was preceded in death by her daughter Shirley Ann Horton and her grandson, John Derek Cogdill. Mrs. Horton had worked as a waitress and cashier at Stuckey's.

Survivors are her daughter, Monica Horton (Ralph) Cogdill of Eastman.

The family will greet friends after the service Monday at Mathis Funeral Home.
