Cochran – Ellie Jane Godfrey Skipper, age 81, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, in Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, June 29, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. in Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.

Jane was a lifelong resident of Bleckley County. She was the daughter of the late Ellen Bryant Godfrey and Henry Eschol Godfrey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wyndell C. Skipper. Jane had worked for L&H Shirt Factory and was retired from Charles Greenberg & Sons where she worked in shipping. In retirement, Jane was an area supervisor for Tupperware. She loved to grow flowers and working in her flowerbeds. Jane never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She was a member of Limestone Baptist Church.

Survivors are her children, Pam Skipper Mills of Douglasville and Owen Skipper of Suches; her grandchildren Tori Mills, Kati Mills, Crystal Skipper and Hannah Skipper; five great grandchildren; her brother, Billy Ray Godfrey of Cochran; her sisters-in-law, Mavis Skipper, Gail Skipper Smith, both of Cochran and Myrtice Skipper Bass of Macon; her great nieces, Kerri Smith Rogers and Kiley Smith and great nephew, Don Bass.

The family would like to thank Patricia Roland and the entire staff of Bryant Health & Rehabilitation Center for all of the love and support they showed to Jane and to the family.

The family will greet friends after the service Saturday at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
