Cochran – Emory E. "Buddy" Nobles II, age 67, passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2024, in Bleckley Memorial Hospital in Cochran. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warner Robins.

Buddy was born on March 15, 1957, and spent the majority of his life in Bleckley County. He was the son of the late Emory Eugene "John" and Lucy Mae White Nobles and was preceded in death by his brother, William "Wesley" Nobles. Buddy was a graduate of Cochran High School, Class of 1975. After high school, he served in the United States Navy for four years. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base where he worked Civil Service as a Program Planner. After retirement, Buddy was able to do all the things he really enjoyed. He was an avid golfer and would spend most of his days at the Uchee Trail Country Club playing golf and taking part in the "Old Man Gab Fest". He also enjoyed crappie fishing. Buddy would spend his winters at a cabin on Lake Eufaula, his home away from home, and would fish daily. He was also a die-hard Florida Gators fan. Buddy attended Ruth Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Norma Roberts-Nobles; his children, Michael "Mike" (Diana) Rossknecht, Danielle (Derek) Bohannon, Leah (Joel) Lopez and Dean (Misty) Maye; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his sister, Emily (James) Foskey; his sister-in-law, Heidi Jo Nobles and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
