Hawkinsville- Eric Denver Johnson, age 43, died on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at Houston Medical Center in Warner Robins. Funeral Services will be held Friday, September 2, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Eric, born on October 29, 1978, lived his entire life in Hawkinsville. He was a 1997 graduate of Hawkinsville High School and had worked for H&V, Wayne Simmons and Lancaster Farms. Eric was a volunteer firefighter with the Pulaski County Fire Department for 15 years. He was a member of Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church where he was on the youth council. He loved Hawkinsville High School Athletics and was a huge Georgia Bulldawgs and Atlanta Braves fan. He loved working outside, turkey hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband and a proud father.

He is survived by his wife Heather Parks Johnson of Hawkinsville; his sons, Tucker and Wesley Johnson  of Hawkinsville; his parents Larry and Faye Johnson of Hawkinsville; his brother Ken Johnson of Hawkinsville; Mother-in-law Patricia (Kenneth) Hunter of Hawkinsville; father-in-law, Jack Parks of Abbeville; brother-in-law, Heath (Sabrina) Parks of Abbeville; sisters-in-law, Hope Crozier of Hawkinsville, Angela Parks of Valdosta and Brittney Parks of Florida; Special Friends, John and Sonya Jones and Aubree Jones and Will Jones; his dogs Minnie and Sadie and 4 nieces and 3 nephews.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Hawkinsville High School Athletics or to the Pulaski County Fire Department.

The family is at 15 Hillbright St, Hawkinsville and will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday, at Hawkinsville First United Methodist Church.
