Cochran – Everett D. Ross, age 88, died Friday, October 14, 2022, at his residence. A visitation will be held Sunday, October 16, 2022, from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pulaski-Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Ross, born in Dodge County, had lived in Cochran over 60 years. He was the son of the late Wilkins and Annie Mae Arnold Ross, the husband of the late Janie Purser Ross and was preceded in death by his sister, Hazel Dempsey. Mr. Everett was owner and operator of Ross Apartments and Ross Construction. He was a former employee at Robins Air Force Base and a US Air Force Veteran. He loved being at home and taking care of his renters and his apartments. He was an avid golfer and member of Uchee Trail Golf Club.

Survivors are his children, Kathy (Bradley) Farmer and Barbara (Vernon) Long all of Cochran; his grandchildren; Holly Long (Garrett) Collins and Andy Long all of Cochran; great grandchild, Remi Collins of Cochran; his brothers, Dr. Gerald (Emma) Ross of Cochran and Carl (Sandy) Ross of Eastman; his sisters, Dorothy Davis of Warner Robins and Hilda Cawley of Savannah; several nieces and nephews.
