Cochran – Frances Jarrell English, age 87, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, in Bleckley Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. in Bethany Baptist Church. Burial will be in Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Frances, a lifelong resident of Bleckley County, was the daughter of the late Clarence Cecil and Eva Hobbs Jarrell. She was preceded in death by her sister, Almedia Jarrell Wimberly and her granddaughter, Autumn English. She was a homemaker, former owner of English Pic-n-Pay Grocery and delivered the Macon Telegraph for many years. Mrs. Frances was a 1952 graduate of Cochran High School and a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors are her husband, Millard L. English of Cochran; her children, Garry (Eda) English of Albany, Delton (Brenda) English, Dwight (Judy) English, Rhonda (Kenneth) Graham and Wanda (Mark) Jones all of Cochran; her god-child, Cindy Nobles of Cochran; grandchildren, Christy (Derrick) Seltz, Kassie (Eddie) Jackson, Charles (Holly) Graham, Michael (Taylor Reid) Newton, Clint (Melissa) English, Dusty (Bri) Jones and Austin (Kiersten) Jones; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at 172 James Davis Road, Cochran and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday at Mathis Funeral Home.
