Cochran – Gail Smith Parks, age 71, died Monday, June 22, 2020, at Serenity Place in Dublin. Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 25, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. in Pulaski- Bleckley Memorial Gardens.

Gail, born in Fitzgerald, had moved to Cochran in 1974 then moved to Tifton in 1994 and moved back to Cochran in 2014. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Harold Smith and Betty Gorday Smith Edwards and was preceded in death by her sister Betty Elaine Smith Walters and her nephew Keith Walters. Gail was a 1966 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and a graduate of Floyd Junior College with a degree in nursing. She was a former RN at Dodge Correctional Institute. Gail attended House of Grace and loved sewing and crafts to donate to missions.

Survivors are her husband, John Parks of Cochran; her son, Walt (Sheryl) Parks of Cochran; her grandchildren, Lizzy, Ethan and Eli Parks of Cochran; her niece, Debbie (Terry) Spell of Social Circle.

The family is at 177 Jeanne Dr., Cochran and will greet friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday at Mathis Funeral Home.
