Gayle Parker, age 79, of Dudley, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Regency Hospital in Macon.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Dudley Baptist Church, located at 1425 Second Street, Dudley, GA 31022. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M., followed by the funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be private at Little Bethel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Gayle was a lifelong resident of Laurens County and the daughter of the late Blanton and Jimmy Greene Haskins. She graduated from Dudley High School in the Class of 1964 and was a proud member of the Dudley Cardinals basketball team. Following high school, she attended Tift College in Forsyth.

A devoted homemaker, Gayle found joy in cooking and baking and always ensured those around her were well-fed. She was an avid Duke Blue Devil basketball fan and cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Gayle married her high school sweetheart, Barney Parker, and together they built a life centered on faith and family. A godly woman with a deep love for her church community, Gayle had been a member of Dudley Baptist Church since 1974.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Barney Parker of Dudley; her children Kathy (Stacy) Nobles of Cochran and Jeff (Cindy) Parker of Cary; her grandchildren Brooke (Bryson) Powers, Bailee (Brady) Talley, Landry Nobles, Athen Nobles, and Evan Lowery; one great-grandchild Lawson Powers; her siblings Bill (Julianne) Haskins of Warner Robins and Donna (Jerry) File of Cary; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Gideons International or to Promise of Hope, 1257 Wayne Rd, Dudley GA 31022.

The family will receive friends at the home of Barney Parker, 1281 Alice Brewer Road, Dudley.

Gayle's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
